Integrating Experience Lists into the Product

Through iterative design, our product has evolved around two core scenarios: the Home Feed, where users discover activities through community posts, and the 2Tab, for goal-oriented event searches. We’ve explored various design iterations to best serve this core value.

With limited resources, relying solely on content makes it challenging for a community to achieve a successful cold start. To attract users, we need to directly address a clear and real user problem—especially when the community is still small and lacks sufficient high-quality content. In our case, that means building an aggregated information tool that helps users discover the most authentic, vibe-worthy things to do.

Many platforms help users find things to do in their city, but what sets us apart is the information we choose to highlight. It’s like curating a fashion magazine—standing out comes down to taste and editorial sense. As product designers, we can achieve this by showcasing the team’s curation and the personality behind our choices.

Every time we built features for better experience documentation, they failed to gain traction. I believe sharing on social platforms is driven by engagement—whether a ‘like’ or a ‘save,’ it’s still a social interaction. Otherwise, users could simply document privately in Notion or Notes, like playing a single-player game.

The voice of users

Designing for a small, early-stage community is a completely different challenge from optimizing a product with a large user base. User interviews became our primary way to validate the product’s core value. I knew we were on the right track when engaged users could clearly articulate their understanding of the community and how it aligned with our vision.
